Serum lipids and lipoprotein alterations in children with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma |

Several prospective studies have demonstrated an association between serum lipids, lipoproteins and cancer. We examined total serum cholesterol, very-low density lipoprotein cholesterol, serum triglycerides and serum lipoproteins in 22 children with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The mean age was 8.2 years (range 3-15 years). There were 18 male and four females. One patient was in stage I, two in stage II, 15 in stage Ill and four in stage IV.
