We report a rare case of a 52-year old man who was initially operated for early gastric adenocarcinoma, but was found to have synchronous lymphoma and in situ adenocarcinoma of the stomach on frozen sections, confirmed by postoperative pathological examination. The relationship between these two tumors and the most appropriate methods of diagnosis were discussed.
